Rivers Edge Rv Park, Blairsville, Georgia

Come to the north Georgia mountains to spend the spring, summer, or fall.

Escape the heat of the Florida summers with the higher elevations, we are often cooler than many northern states.

During the spring, the trees are brilliant green with new growth. The Rhododendrons are blooming and the mountain streams are flowing. Hiking is excellent with many chances to see beautiful flowing waterfalls. We are close to the Appalachian Trail, and Vogel State Park is just 3 miles away.

The altitude here in the mountains brings warm days and cooler nights during the summer months.

It's perfect weather for daytime hikes, river kayaking or rafting, zip-lining, trout fishing, or just sightseeing.

Fall brings beautiful fall foliage on the trees with shades of reds, golds, orange and yellow. The temperature is noticeably cooler.

We are in the Blue Ridge Mountains, just minutes away from the North Carolina and Tennessee border.

The Rv lot is in a quiet RV park with 117 privately owned lots.

The Rv site has a large 33 x 72 foot concrete pad. There is a storage shed on the lot but it is not available for use, as we keep our "treasures" in it.

The elevation is about 1800 feet, but the campground is off of a main road with easy access for even the largest rigs.

Our Summer in Blairsville, Georgia

We have been here in Rivers Edge RV park since early July.  The summer temperatures are warm, but not too hot and the evenings are cool.

It’s much cooler than summers in Florida and we don’t have the dreaded afternoon thunder-boomers to contend with!

There is no shortage of things to do here in the north Georgia Mountains.

It’s been a wonderful summer, but now we’re looking forward to fall and the spectacular fall foliage.

Rivers Edge Rv park is in Blairsville, Georgia.  We are very close to both North Carolina and Tennessee.

Blairsville is much less crowded than Gatlinburg or Pigeon Force, Tennessee, or Cherokee NC.

Rivers Edge Rv Park in Blairsville Georgia - Fall foliage

We took a drive yesterday to check out all the beautiful fall foliage.

Although the colors aren't as vibrant as in years past (due to a lot of rain), it is still beautiful.

The Beautiful Mountains of North Georgia

We live full time in our Monaco Motor home after selling our home and most of our posessions in 2011.

We had lived in Tampa, Florida for 30 years.

We decided we wanted to buy a RV lot in the north Georgia mountains and we came across Rivers Edge RV Park, in Blairsville, Georgia.

We purchased this lot in August of 2013.   It is NOT for rent at this time.  It is lot number 49.

We love this area so much that we bought a second lot for an investment and rental property.  This is lot number 53.   It is available for rent.   There is a cabin on it, but it will not be available for renters use.

This is lot 53.

Rivers Edge Rv Park is in a beautiful area just south of the town of Blairsville.  There are plenty of restaurants to choose from, a Walmart, Ingles Grocery store, and a Home Depot.

The RV park is big rig friendly with wide, paved roads into and in the park.   Easy access on flat grounds.  No backing a large rig up the side of a mountain.  We are in a valley with the mountains all around us.

This is the view from the clubhouse.
